This is my first xange blog written in English, hopefully the last... The reason that I am writting this in English is because I wish this blog can help all the unlucky people all over the world who own a Sony Ericsson K800i. For those who haven't experience a problem with K800i yet, trust me, you will, unless you get rid of it within a year.
My story starts a few days ago when I entered a petrol station and told my girlfriend to switch off my phone for me. When I left the petrol station and press the power button to turn on the phone, Mr. 3.2 mega pixel good looking K800i was only showing me a WHITE SCREEN and VIBRATES everytime I press the power button. (yea, VIBRATES everytime I press the BUTTON) When I got home I took the batteries out a few times and put it back in but that didn't do anything.
After spending a week of Googling, discussing with friends and above 50 times of trials and errors. I finally figured out a way to solve this problem, I named this method as "TO's 10-step-method to save a dead K800i with white screen on display problem when trying to turn the fxxking thing on" (TO10SMTSAD K800i W WSOD PWTTTTFKTO in short form).
1. Download XS++ v2.2 (v2.0 and before does not support CID52 as I know)
2. Download EROM (Remember to look for the same version of EROM CID, which is display on XS++ when u connect your phone)
3. Download firmwares MAIN & FS(beware of the CID version once again, if ur phone is EROM CID52, everything must be CID52)
4. FULLY CHARGE UR PHONE, IT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE, the white screen will appear then goes off after a while.
5. Once connected your phone, check the flash main firmware box and load in the erom files, start flash.
6. Once finished, disconnect, take ur battery out and put it back in.
7. Connect again, this time u check all 3 boxes (main firmware, file system AND Customize file system)
8. Load the firmwares that you download MAIN for main firmware and FS for file system, REMEMBER to choose the same language in customize file system as the FS firmware that you downloaded)
9. Flashing completes, take the battery out and put it back on.
10. Turn on your phone, SMILE at your K800i because IT IS WORKING NOW!!!!!!
